Volunteer and Fundraising Commitments

McCall Winter Sports Club thrives because of the families and supporters who give their time, energy, and enthusiasm. From helping on race days to supporting our annual auctions, your involvement helps keep programs affordable and creates opportunities for young athletes to grow through winter sports.

Volunteering

Each MWSC family is expected to complete at least 20 volunteer hours per season. Opportunities include our annual fundraising events, races, competitions, and training days. Whether you enjoy working on the hill or helping behind the scenes, there are many ways to contribute and connect with other club families.


Families who complete their volunteer commitment receive a discount on program fees for the following season. Some volunteer roles require SafeSport training and certification.

Fundraising

MWSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Fundraising helps cover operating costs beyond those supported by program fees, and every family plays a part in making these efforts successful.


Our main fundraising opportunities include:

  • Annual Dinner and Live Auction: Our largest fundraiser brings the community together for a multi-course meal, entertainment, and a live auction. Families are encouraged to attend, invite friends, and help make the evening a success. Tickets are available for individual seats or tables.
  • Online Auction: Held in conjunction with the dinner and live auction, this event features items contributed by MWSC families and supporters.
  • Golden Ticket Fundraiser: This fundraiser offers the chance to win a trip to one of several faraway destinations. Each family is asked to sell at least two Golden Tickets at $100 each. Tickets may be sold to anyone, and ticket holders do not need to be present to win. The winning ticket is drawn at a spring event. Airfare and transportation costs are not included in the prize.


Family responsibilities each season are:

  • Each family is asked to secure an auction item valued at $250 or more. Items are due three weeks before the auction date.
  • Sell at least two Golden Tickets at $100 each.
