OVERVIEW
MWSC’s Devo Advanced program helps strong intermediate to advanced skiers and riders ages 8–17 sharpen their skills and explore alpine racing or freeride. Training at Brundage Mountain or Tamarack Resort takes athletes across the mountain—from gates and terrain parks to bumps, powder, trees, and glades—building versatility, confidence, and sound decision-making.
Athletes are encouraged to try local events such as the Soda Pop Race Series, Tam Jam, and the Chris Bodily Memorial 4-Way. Competition is optional, offering a chance to put skills into practice, celebrate progress, and have fun with teammates.
In Season Training Schedule:
January - March/April
Brundage: Saturday and Sunday, 9:15-2:00
Tamarack: Saturday and Sunday, 9:15-2:00
Little Ski Hill (All Devo Athletes): Fridays 6-8PM
- Choose your primary hill during registration
Skill Prerequisites:
- Manage their equipment independently, including carrying, putting on, and removing their gear.
- Ski or ride intermediate/advanced terrain comfortably, with consistent control of speed and direction.
- Demonstrate strong foundational skills to explore terrain across the mountain and develop confidence in varied conditions.
- Use the chairlift safely, including loading, riding, and unloading.
While Devo athletes are not mandated to compete in races, we strongly believe that competition fosters overall athlete development. Participants will have the opportunity to join the Soda Pop Race Series and other local "friendly" races.
