Coach Tim

Tamarack Ski and Snowboard Development Coach

YEAR STARTED COACHING AT MWSC:

Tim began skiing at age 12 at a ski area in northeastern Oregon that has since closed. After starting as an instructor there, he moved to Bluewood, teaching skiers and training instructors from 1982 to 1987.

In 1987, Tim became program director of B.A.R.T. Racing, serving in that role until 2002 before moving to Brundage. After teaching in Brundage’s ski school until 2013, he joined Tamarack.

Tim’s coaching focuses on helping children develop a lifelong love of skiing while learning mountain rules and respect for others. Safety is always his highest priority.

His lessons emphasize three core skills—pressure control, edging, and rotary movements—with balance as the foundation. By keeping each day fun and tailoring instruction to the skills that need the most attention, Tim helps young skiers progress while enjoying their time on the mountain.
