Summer Skiing!

For some skiers their favorite time of year is just around the bend. MWSC is happy to announce that a few of our favorite things will still be happening this summer.  Come July 28th ski racers and MWSC coaches will return to the Palmer Glacier at Timberline Ski Area in Mt. Hood, Oregon for up to 10 days on snow.  This is truly an amazing experience - one that sticks with skiers for a lifetime as one of their top favorites.

Registration for summer ski day camp is now open!

Hood Summer Ski Camp 2019

Ski racers 8-18 years of age are invited to ski Mt. Hood with coaches Erik Fisher and Dave Rosen for 10 days of Slalom and Giant Slalom training.  Camp begins July 27th with a team meeting "social distance style" at Government Camp.  Then on the 28th, skiers will load the Palmer Lift at 7:00am for peak morning skiing at 8,500' - as such is the schedule for on-snow training in 5-day increments; July 28-August 1 and August 3-7.

Afternoon activities; including hikes, games, video review and wax clinics will conclude before dinnertime and the end of another day at camp.

Registration is now open (and limited) for the full, 12-day camp with optional transportation from McCall/Boise on July 27th and returning home August 7th.  Although lodging is not included; there are hotel and condominium accommodations in Government Camp that athletes are encouraged to share and coordinate with other athletes and parents.

The camp cost of $1653 includes 10 days of on-snow race training with video and review, lift tickets, breakfast & lunch daily, camp t-shirt and dryland activities; including a day trip to the Pacific coast on August 2nd.  A payment plan is available with final payment due July 7th.  A shorter camp is also for 5 days on snow at $1136.
